Should we point out this is the real Andy Kirkup and not the imposter on here. :-)

Both Andy and his son Adam have SRJFC connection a as well. Andy managed a team to our, so far, only cup final and Adam scored the first ever SRJFC goal

On Facebook, it's got a more indepth poster, and it's 'Against Breast Cancer' and 'Unite & Bike Against Cancer'

Darren Collins, Michael McElhatton, Micky Nuttell, Andy Kirkup, Aidy Mann & many more...

Do they want Paul York or Gary Wall (played for Rushden Town) phone numbers?

Not a clue. You'll have to PM Dazzler, he might have the right contacts.

I don't have any extra details - but I added an FB link related to the Charity they are supporting. Best to contact them on there, or perhaps go ask at R&H's open day tomorrow from Midday to 4pm as part of get to meet Rushden.

Final Score was RDFC Legends 4 Rushden Town XI 2
Team was: Kevin Shoemake, Tim Wooding, Dave Johnson, Nick Ashby, Steve Holden, Michael McElhatton (c), Adie Mann, Jon Brady, Darren Collins, Dale Watkins, Andy Kirkup.
Subs: Kevin Fox for Shoemake (HT), Darrell Page for Mann (54), Mickey Nuttell for Wooding (67), Tim Wooding for Andy Kirkup (74).

Scorers: Darren Collins, Dale Watkins/2, Jon Brady.

Entertaining game, with RDFC going in front on 13 minutes after Mann’s free kick from just outside the area struck the crossbar, for Collins to head home the rebound. Two up on 27 minutes, when Watkins chipped the keeper from the edge of the box. Town pulled a goal back on 32 minutes, before Watkins made it 3-1 on the stroke of half time, converting a Jon Brady cross. Town scored a penalty on 81 minutes, but Jon Brady got the RDFC fourth goal with a deflected free-kick five yards outside the area with six minutes remaining. Some excellent goalkeeping from both Shoemake (48) and Fox (52). Attendance must have been in the 400's.

Great afternoon`s entertainment.
Even Lord Max was tempted out for a rare appearance and was warmly greeted by "his"old players. Given the Kirkup`s roles in the early days of South Rushden JFC,I felt it was important to support the afternoon , and , of course, to watch some Diamonds legends in action again. They looked like they were thoroughly enjoying themselves, and it was great to see them pinging their passes about and re-establishing an almost telepathic understanding again.Class is timeless.
A good crowd, lots of old faces to catch up with, and about £1500 raised for Against Breast Cancer.
Happy days. :D
