I feel sorry for people who don't drink................when they wake up in the morning, that's the best they're going to feel all day.

Best thing for them really.

Now they can get going with their phoenix club. I'm sure we'll see them back in the conference within the next decade!

Agreed. The council are very interested in their being football in Chester, and i assume they would probably just move stright into the deva.

Pretty excited for them and their phoenix club, should take just a few years to get back up to the Blue Square leagues and at least their suffering is over.

Although I wouldn't have thought Farsley fans will be happy today :cry:

I reckon a few chairmen in Gloucester, Gainsborough and Ellesmere Port will be breathing a sigh of relief though - looks like 1 relegation place from the BSN this season!

there is another article on the bbc website that states Chester have applied to be in the league of wales.

That pre-dates the winding up order. Chester City can't join any league now that they no longer exist.

I would assume this is no irrelevant as they are no longer in existence. I would guess that this was just a further move by the Vaughans' to try to convince the high court that they were a going concern.

Fair point, the article was posted on the BBC website yesterday, and the application was discussed at the WPL board meeting on tuesday, although it looks as though no decision was made....

Wasn't Morrell Maison involved with chester in some capacity?
