Best thing for them really.
Now they can get going with their phoenix club. I'm sure we'll see them back in the conference within the next decade!

Pretty excited for them and their phoenix club, should take just a few years to get back up to the Blue Square leagues and at least their suffering is over.

I reckon a few chairmen in Gloucester, Gainsborough and Ellesmere Port will be breathing a sigh of relief though - looks like 1 relegation place from the BSN this season!

Re: Chester are wound up
That pre-dates the winding up order. Chester City can't join any league now that they no longer exist.diamondphil wrote:there is another article on the bbc website that states Chester have applied to be in the league of wales.

Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has left the building.
Re: Chester are wound up
I would assume this is no irrelevant as they are no longer in existence. I would guess that this was just a further move by the Vaughans' to try to convince the high court that they were a going concern.diamondphil wrote:there is another article on the bbc website that states Chester have applied to be in the league of wales.

Re: Chester are wound up
Fair point, the article was posted on the BBC website yesterday, and the application was discussed at the WPL board meeting on tuesday, although it looks as though no decision was made....
