Just returned from Budapest to heavy rain all the way home from the airport. Resigned to the fact that this will be off as S&L's pitch always falls foul to the slightest of bad weather. Disappointed to return to hear todays match was called off as the bumper crowd would have been a bonus for the club!

Does anyone ITK if have any idea if there is any chance of the game going ahead? Looking at the forecast for tomorrrow we are due to get light rain but i imagine that the pitch is already saturated.

I feel there is zero chance that the S & L pitch will be fit. Currently dry and a strong wind in the area but heavy rain forecast from 3pm for the rest of the day.
We had heavy rain overnight and the forecast for the Rockingham area from the Met Office is heavy rain again at 9am tomorrow morning. :( I was going to pop down this afternoon but I won't bother now.

I think the postponement last Wednesday plus tomorrow's probable postponement could be a blessing in disguise. Many of our key players have played a lot of games this season and one or two look a little jaded, with some carrying niggling injuries. The enforced break should help to give tired bodies and minds a chance to recouperate ahead of the very difficult run of games which are coming up soon.

Think it's safe to say this match is well and truly off. Been raining for couple of hours now and still going
So what matches are people going to today?

I made a calculated guess that it'd be off and am storing up done brownie points by taking the mrs away for the weekend, so no football for me this weekend - but lots of goodwill in the bank for me to use later in the season lol

Going for step 3 I think if anything is left on. A few in the area at home Bedford , Cambridge, St Albans, Arlesey & Hemel, though what's falling here now all of these may be unlikely to go ahead.corby diamond wrote:Think it's safe to say this match is well and truly off. I was thinking about Bedford but can't see it being on, I just been out for a 10k run and the ground round here can't take any more water.
