Much talk about Alfie's 49th club goal on Saturday and his chance to get number 50, but according to my stats he scored his 27th goal of the season in league and cups against Holbeach. That means he surpasses the previous single season record of 26 from Newman last year.
Moving back up a level and increasing his season goal tally by the end of February, can't argue with that! Crucially, of course, staying fit thus far this season.

Looking at the stats - http://www.afcdiamonds.com/201314-senior-stats - I also note that Matt Gearing's goalscoring record is significantly better this season - he has 13 this campaign as opposed to the 5 he got last season. If he has another game tomorrow as good as the one on Saturday then he might be the first Diamonds player to get a hat-trick of player of the month awards too.
