Oxhey Jets are another Spartan South Midlands side - they finished 18th in the SSM Premier last season.

There's a home tie against Bedford Town for the winners - and a possible trip to Hendon after that.
The Doughboys have been drawn at home too, so we may have to host Oxhey Jets on a different day.

Should we both advance, we and Wellingborough would both be at home in the next round as well I believe.

Re: FA Cup - Home to Oxhey Jets
Not the best draw we could have hoped for but not horrendous. Taking each game in order...
Oxhey Jets - Judging by what we saw last season from sides in this league this should be a home win. They finished 11 points behind Cockfosters and 25 points below London Colney last year.
Bedford Town - They've made some decent additions in the summer including Aaron King and Tom Liversedge and will be considerably better than they were last season, but I would still fancy us at home. Personally I think it'd be wise to cancel the friendly against them but doubt it'll happen. Averaged 231 at home last season so there'll be some welcome away support.
Hendon - Last year we avoided the likes of Hendon until we reached the 2nd Qualifying Round, so on paper I'd say this draw is tougher and we'd have our work cut out to win this one away from home. They finished 8th in the Ryman Premier last season although they only won 8 of their 23 home games. They groundshare with Harrow Borough and averaged 176 last season.

Nice to get a home draw, wouldn't have minded an away game in Watford as could have taken my uncle along like at Northwood, but should get through that one. Bedford's a draw that will bring a decent crowd, but tough no doubt, at home I fancy us against them, but it'll be tight. Hendon away's not a great draw at that stage and we'll have our work cut out against them. It'll be a big achievement if we go any further than the 1st qual round I'd say.

Not a bad draw, but with hendon, think positive people. With the magic of the fa cup anything is possible. And if the team go into the game with the same positivity as Cambridge then anything is possible. I know it's a different team, but I'm sure management have put together a decent squad for the league and cup runs. I'm fancying a result/draw, pending on the other 2 games. One game at a time, but I'm confident

The Jets were on our radar last season, with the provisional draw for the first qualifying seeing us pitted against the winners of Cockfosters or Hanwell v Hadley or Oxhey Jets. The Jets lost to Hadley, who then lost to Cockfosters.

Re: FA Cup - Home to Oxhey Jets
Interesting choice. Last season we played Yaxley (I believe) on a friday evening and had a better crowd than had it been on a Tuesday.
I would have preferred the sunday but that only makes it more difficult if we have a fixture on the Tuesday which is very likely.
These FA Cup matches do not have extra time. That is only in the Vase.
We could be the first club to win an FA Cup tie this season!!
