Next UCL home match

Post by sussexdiamond »

With Tuesdays game now postponed we may have to wait quite a long time for a home UCL match.
if we beat Bedford and Hendon we wont have a home UCL game until Oct 4th..... then we may have 5 in a row!!!!

I've got used to not having a home Saturday league fixture followed by an away Saturday league match as it's clear, what with Cup fixtures a priority, that's the way the UCL choose to operate the fixture list. A large proportion Diamonds fans, well over 50% of our average home support, follow the club away from home and at this level it makes very little difference to our performances whether we play at home or away. I actually like visiting all these other grounds.

Looking forward to Bedford on Tuesday night as I'm in Cambridge during the day. ;)

It's par for the course at this level and time of the season that games get moved for Cup matches. At least we don't have Vase to worry about yet

The game on Oct 4th won't take place either if Sileby win in the Vase next weekend.

Not much chance of that happening as they play Kempston again who beat them 4-0 yesterday in the FA Cup!
