Thanks for a memorable season
Thanks for a memorable season
As I won't be at the Presentation Evening to have a chance to thank all of those who made such an excellent season possible, I thought I'd put something on here.
Thanks must go to Andy Peaks and his team, as well as all those doing similar roles for the junior, academy and community teams. The players themselves really rose to the challenge, and truly did address all the games after the Oadby setback as a series of cup finals. To show the determination to score those late goals in key games was something we won't see again in a hurry.
The club board took a series of key decisions which made all this possible - from setting the budget to challenging the UCL to sort out the end of season schedule, often a thankless task but one that is totally essential.
The band of volunteers deserve special praise too - from those doing the fundraising, those helping on match day, and all those doing work behind the scenes.
Our sponsors also deserve a mention too, both the corporate and individual contributions.
Hopefully everybody will get a decent break and come back for more of the same next season.

You're knocked out with who I am,
Look at you now, you're all in my hands.
