Shane Huke
Diamonds have signed Australian midfielder Shane Huke from A-League Central Coast Mariners until the end of the season.
Previously with Posh and most recently the Daggers where he played 36 games in two seasons, scoring two goals.

Overloaded with midfielders now, but will give us more options?

Re: Shane Huke
Hasn't got many goals, so probably a defensive midfielder.

Re: Shane Huke
He was number 3 for Central Coast which indicates he might be able to play left or right back.
Sounds good that we're signing A-League players though!!!

He sounds a bit like our last Australian midfielder in that case (who was at Nene Park on Wednesday evening). Let's just hope he isn't as dangerous with the hair dye ;)BartonRaz wrote:He was number 3 for Central Coast which indicates he might be able to play left or right back.

Re: Shane Huke
Hopefully if he can cover in defence then that will be good, and wouldn't be surprised given that Aynsley was sent out on loan. I guess he could also come in as cover for Terry if he gets injured? Does this mean we are going for it now?! Throw a little bit of money at it now to see if we can make play-offs/promotion? Not a bad strategy if it is imo!Formic wrote:He sounds a bit like our last Australian midfielder in that case (who was at Nene Park on Wednesday evening). Re: Shane Huke
im sure he was more of a defender for Posh. Also seem to recall he has a long throw, not certain though
Re: Shane Huke
with Wolly injured and McNamara out of favour after his red card, it's a decent signing IMO.
