Had a strange dream last night that this Saturday diamonds were playing Hendon away in the FA Cup 3rd qualifying round.. :cheesy:

Massive game tomorrow and I'm sure the lads will be up for it.. watched the highlights the other day from two years ago.. we could do with Jason turner in the squad now.. where is he nowadays?

Looking forward to seeing how the lads play on a different surface.. nervous but very much looking forward to it :good:

I dreamt that we scored a penalty in the last minute...not sure if it was winner or equalizer!

Losing 1-0 at half time. Should be an interesting second half having to chase the game rather than trying to defend a slim lead.

Well, I don't know where to start. Admittedly we were short of quite a few players but we have just given Hendon probably their most easiest game of football they will have this year. Our performance 2 years ago was so much better, we have gone out with a whimper. Team selection was always going to be tough with the available players but effort should be without question. Shariff was our best player,we need someone up there with him. Herndon were nothing special, defensively average but they had 3 decent players who had pace and were tricky. That simply was enough to take us apart with little fuss and put them in the next round. Unfortunately we are so weak without Oulten, this simply was a match too far for our depleted team. Also I know 4G pitches help generate money but it was horrible, weird bounces, slowing of the ball etc, big disadvantage for opposing teams.
