Bedworth have a 3G pitch these days and as a result their game against Loughborough was on last night (they won 5-1). We shouldn't have another postponement despite the fact the weather is forecast to be bitterly cold again.

If Tuesday's game is not postponed then they will have played 3 more home games than they have away which is probably down to no postponements at home.
I do hope our lads play far better than when they last played on an artificial surface at Hendon.

The pitch wont protect them from fog, which is the biggest threat at present
What a finish! Great winner from Fazel who was hobbling badly and a fantastic impact from Tom coming off the bench. We didn't play well for large chunks of the match, lacking cohesion and making many technical mistakes in possession, but the sending off helped. From my vantage point it looked like the ref had no choice - the
Number 7 led with the arm and at pace, and could have seriously hurt Brad. Slightly fortunate to get all 3 points but we never gave up and kept fighting to the end.
I noticed that Mark Albrighton was playing for the Greens this afternoon. Seemed to be getting many mentions on Radio Diamonds although they never mentioned that he played 17 times for RDFC back in 2007. He will be 41 in March so obviously keeping himself in shape.
Delighted to get the three points, particularly in those circumstances against a team who were doing their best to spoil things. I don't think that anyone can honestly sit here and say that we deserved all 3 points on balance and but for a rush of blood from their player we probably wouldn't have got them, but it's nice to continue grinding wins out away from home and the boys showed great character.
11 v 11 we struggled again to create opportunities - a feature of our season. The introduction of Lorraine and Curtis definitely helped in that repect, as did the red card, but we're sorely lacking some genuine width. Thought it was a poor call not to put Winters straight back in too but thankfully that was rectified at HT.

Not surprised to hear he's 41 given he played for us some 10 years ago and didn't look like a youngster then. He played very well today though I thought.

Albrighton's shaven head made him look a lot older (a la Darren Purse). He was on loan from Boston United under Graham Westley's tenure and the following season signed for Cambridge United and was voted their Player of the Season when they lost out to Exeter City in the Conference play off final. I always thought he was a very good solid and uncompromising central defender.

Interesting you should mention that. I was trying to recall where I had heard his name before. But certainly did not connect him with the former club.
I was only on RD in second half and too much was going on to be overly concerned about him.
