P*** T****
Why did he take that penalty? We had 4 other players capable of taking it and with a better possibility of scoring. Its a bloody good job we didn't NEED the goal.
You're knocked out with who I am,
Look at you now, you're all in my hands.

Re: P*** T****
There was a big discussion beforehand about who should take it. Terry never looked confident and made an even bigger hash of the follow up. Pity Tomlin had just gone off  .
Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has left the building.

After Grays game, it was decided Terry was the penalty taker, but I agree it's a weird decision.

Penalty taking is mostly down to holding your nerve. I'm sure most players find the back of the net 9 times out of 10 in training, but it's very different when it's in a game with some pressure on you (especially given our record this season). Terry is one of the oldest, most experienced players at the club, and usually the epitome of calmness. As Oundle Diamond said, he had already been pre-selected as penalty taker following the debacle at Grays. Our only penalty since then was Tommo's successful one against Histon when Terry was suspended, and had he been on I'm sure he would have taken it today.
I don't think it was the wrong decision to for Terry to take the penalty; our two most experienced strikers on the pitch at the time have both missed penalties this season, and there was no other obvious candidate to take it.

I don't think it was a bad penalty; just unfortunate the keeper guessed the right way. We'd all be praising him for keeping his cool if he had tucked it away.
Ah well, these things happen. We're in the playoffs!

In what way was it a good penalty?

Sorry i know we are in the playoffs and ok these things can happen if you miss the first, but to fluff the rebound too?

Agree with Dave, he is one of the most experienced players in the side, and probably the right man to take the kick. After today though, i have no idea who's turn it is! Must very nearly be Dale!

I'll tell you now without P*** T****, we wouldn't be where we are. He has been the main player for me! Anyone that was at Kidderminster will agree with me that we've seen how well Terry plays it, by the fact that McNamara appeared to have a poor game, because we naturally compare him to Terry. If you look at Terry's passing percentage, it will be without doubt, one of the highest in the league. Get off his back!rushandd wrote:

At his level of football this was not good football today from him, and im still annoyed that that happened. I dont care about keeping his cool, if hes that old and experienced a player hes more than likely been in the situation many times, its like riding a bike, you never forget !
