Woeful performance, no doubts about that. I question why we're playing the formation we are when it was the cause of so many issues last season and we were so good in a 4231 - surely we have the players for it?
However, it is disheartening to see fans slating the team and being aggressively negative. Have we forgotten what Harriman has done for this club? Cup games can go wrong, god we know that, but it's not panic stations all round. If we were in the same situation in a couple months time I'd understand, but he took time to get it right before and we will need to bed in new players and the tactics (yes I'm aware that's the point of preseason but without the competitive edge and concrete squad plans I don't feel it's all that's needed) Back the boys, because awful performance or not they seemed to genuinely care today which I struggle to say many did for the first half of last season.

Maybe because the majority of the players didn’t even have the respect to come and clap the fans at the end and just stormed straight off the pitch? We may not be there in our thousands, but just because we aren’t pampered premier league fans does not mean we are not worthy of simple respect.RyanDoveFanClub wrote: Sat Aug 17, 2024 5:14 pm However, it is disheartening to see fans slating the team and being aggressively negative. I myself was going to bite my tongue about the performance and stay positive, but after seeing the players leave without giving two craps about us fans who spend our hard earned money to support them home and away, they can absolutely have it. We were absolutely GOD AWFUL, completely reminiscent of last season and we would not have scored a goal if we had been there for another 6 hours.
I have massive faith in Harriman and I know it will come good, but I am also massively disappointed in some of our players today.

Well, the “road to Wembley” turns into a cul-de-sac for us yet again, that illusive cup run eh? Gutted, not just because it’s the cup, but for the loss of much needed funds! But, we are where we are!
I wasn’t there so can’t really comment, but the lads need to bounce back fast, a tough challenge ahead Tuesday night against a side who pushed all the way last season and finished 2nd in the table, and who won 0-5 this afternoon!
On paper we’ll get dicked on Tuesday, but who knows! The lads have to show us what they’re made of - three defeats on the trot and all the feel good factor at the start of the season will be gone and people will be fearing the worst - but if we can get a result and steady the ship then hopefully it’ll give us something to build on!
Confidence will be low so time to get behind the lads and urge them on! Hopefully will be there Tuesday all being well so fingers crossed !!
This group of players have shown they’re up for the fight and they really need to show up on Tuesday!

I reckon the club has earned around £6k, maybe more, over the 3 games taking into account the shared gates and prize money. That’s significantly more than the last few seasons so it’s not all bad.Pigman wrote: Sat Aug 17, 2024 5:54 pm Well, the “road to Wembley” turns into a cul-de-sac for us yet again, that illusive cup run eh? That’s true - but a couple more rounds would have been nicer and far more lucrative - but as I said, we are where we are! Let’s make sure we have a run in the Trophy instead!!
I still remain optimistic about this group and I think it’ll come good - we need an addition up front though and it’s a shame this loan signing from the Cobblers hasn’t worked out just yet - we need someone sooner than later!
I stand by my “10 games is the measure” belief - Tuesday is a tough one though, but it’s at home and we need to be on our game - we’ll only do that if the fans are behind the team, disappointing as today was, Tuesday is another day!
Draw a line under today, we go again!
