During the Save Our Summer campaign in 2023, the Club ran a shirt donation initiative, where Diamonds fans past and present donated shirts from Rushden & Diamonds FC and AFC Rushden & Diamonds back to the Club for re-sale. This initiative resulted in well over 100 kits being donated and re-sold, and was incredibly successful.
The Club has recently acquired some further donated shirts not related to Rushden & Diamonds and would be delighted to run this initiative again but this time, we are welcoming football shirts from any Club, anywhere!
Perhaps you have shirts that no longer fit, are unwanted or are just tucked away in a cupboard somewhere. Whether it’s club teams or national teams from Europe to South America, we’ll take them all! We would of course prefer that the shirts were in either a very good, excellent or brand new condition.
The intention is to sell the donated shirts on a first-come, first-served basis at the match against Darlaston Town on 14th December 2024, which will also double up as a designated Community Day and Pay What You Want fixture.
There are a number of ways the Club can receive the donated kits:
In Person – A drop-off can be arranged at Hayden Road at a mutually agreeable time.
Collection – If drop-off isn’t convenient, if you are local, we could arrange a collection.
Post – If you aren’t local but would like to help, please get in touch and we can advise on an appropriate postal address.
Please email alex.raspin@afc-diamonds.com to co-ordinate drop off / collection / posting of shirts.
With no cost value, any donated shirts would see the purchase price of the item reinvested back into the Club. If this proves to be as successful as it was previously, this could become a vital fundraising initiative for our not-for-profit organisation, run from top to bottom by volunteers.
