Yellow cards

Post by ChorltonV »

What is the definitive situation with regards yellow cards and possibe suspension for the play-offs? Do we have players one card away from a ban or is some kind of amnesty in place barring a red card event a la Andy Burgess.

See the bottom of the first page of http://www.thediamondsforum.co.uk/viewt ... ?f=2&t=977

My interpretation of the FA Handbook is that the impact of earlier red cards would still count if a player picked up another one in one of the playoff games.

Current card count is as follows
6 Red cards
2 Simon Downer
1 Lee Tomlin, Nicky McNamara, Michael Corcoran, Jefferson Louis
( Note - Simon Downer & Jefferson Louis both received two yellows resulting in a red card. The other four were straight red cards )

89 Yellow cards (plus the 4 above)
12 Jamie Stuart, P*** T**** (includes 1 playing for Grays)
11 Lee Tomlin
7 Mark Byrne, Kurt Robinson
6 Jefferson Louis (includes 3 playing for Crawley)
5 Michael Corcoran, Curtis Osano
4 Cliff Akurang, Nicky McNamara
3 Neil Cousins, Matt Pattison, Craig Farrell, Max Porter, Simon Downer
2 Aaron O’Connor, Nathan Abbey
1 Dale Roberts

As already mentioned, the amnesty on suspensions for 10 yellows was 11 April, although there would still be a three match suspension for reaching 15 booking before the end of the season. Jamie Stuart and P*** T**** would have to be booked in all of the next three games to miss the final (should we progress).
