Almost 8 and a half minutes exactly according to a Corby fan who had their stopwatch on.Olly wrote: Sat Aug 03, 2024 6:30 pm Would be interesting to see the exact time of the equaliser, 7 minutes was what I expected given all the subs made and stoppages, but really thought he should have blown before the cross went in and we would have finally won an FA cup game for the first time in what, 6 years?

Thing is, it's at least 7 minutes or whatever injury time is indicated. I had it at about 7 minutes by the time they scored and as my old coaches always told me, you play to the whistle. It was a tough one to take, but probably the right result as Corby were the more threatening and heath the more busy of the two keepers. Like already mentioned, we look a stronger outfit physically and there's more experience out there, although I still have a bit of concern where the goals will come from. Adams looks the more likely to get double figures and I think he will certainly improve as the season progresses. Hopefully these two fixtures work well for the club financially and we can get a win on Tuesday!rickthediamond wrote: Sat Aug 03, 2024 6:40 pmAlmost 8 and a half minutes exactly according to a Corby fan who had their stopwatch on.Olly wrote: Sat Aug 03, 2024 6:30 pm Would be interesting to see the exact time of the equaliser, 7 minutes was what I expected given all the subs made and stoppages, but really thought he should have blown before the cross went in and we would have finally won an FA cup game for the first time in what, 6 years?

My fault, I turned on Radio Diamonds just as Bruce and Olly were saying 7 minutes injury time had already been played.

Imo Emery is way off the mark for us now, he cannot even hold the ball now. Shame because he’s a decent lad but think we need to replace him. Unfortunately when we hoof it to him to slow the game down and keep it in the opp half it just comes straight back to us.
Don’t mean to be negative lol

No I agree, he did very little when he came on and does look unfit. I'd certainly give him this month, with 8/9 fixtures now, to prove himself and see if he can get himself back In the teamdiamondsteve wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 6:19 am Imo Emery is way off the mark for us now, he cannot even hold the ball now. As has been stated, his job in the team for me is to hold up the ball and slow down games in the last 10/15 minutes when we are winning or holding on to a draw. I definitely think he can still play that role within this team, it’s obviously going to be harder against the stronger teams in our league though.TheIncognitoKid wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 8:36 amNo I agree, he did very little when he came on and does look unfit. A couple of Corby fans getting riled up on social media, apparently we only had ourselves to blame for the added on time because we were time wasting! We had plenty of teams doing that to us last season.
I’m looking forward to Tuesday night now.

EVERY team did that to us at some point, even when drawing.AFCRD_Dan wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 9:48 am A couple of Corby fans getting riled up on social media, apparently we only had ourselves to blame for the added on time because we were time wasting!
