As for Harborough bit of a stinky draw but a chance to get into the 2nd round, the income for both clubs must be so lucrative from these runs - it still pains me how badly we played against Newark in our 2nd round defeat

True I was more just thinking that we were football league rivals (and arguably rivals for being the biggest team in Northants for a bit) and K*ttering never had that.

Not in the league they weren't - the Ploppies have always been non-league and hopefully always will be!! What historical meaning you say? Have a look at at this and tell me there would be no meaning

Gutted that the Ploppies won, I despise that club and its fans, but they were the better side on the day and deserved it - NTFC were woeful, it surprised me just how bad they were.

Definitely, Cobblers had injuries, but for a professional side were a shambles, I did wonder whether the fact it was a local derby might help their motivation, but clearly not, a classic case of the underdogs wanting it more and deservedly winning.

Probably made over 100k from their cup run now. At least that will cover the wage bill for a couple of months! Maybe! 😁😁😁😁

Seen lots of headlines about what happened yesterday evening but not one along the lines of “former armed robber holds up the Cobblers”

Plus an increase in attendance for a while with all the positive media attention, I suppose the local lad coming off the bench as well will stir the kettrin massive into a state of rapture.
However, a few trips to splat park and most will remember why they stopped going in the first place.

Well done to both K*ttering Town and Harborough Town on reaching the 2nd round. It is something we would love and are missing out on. It's a great crowd booster and obviously financially rewarding. Every lower league club wants the kind of FA Cup run that those two local team have had.

i agree with this and what Pigman says. I wanted Cobblers to win, but a shock was always on, with the form of both teams. I think the lack of a replay worked to K*ttering's advantage. Fair play to K*ttering and Harborough, brilliant runs from both. I'm sure the national TV audience will enjoy the sights of a field in Burton, after the almost-but-never-quite-finished Sixfields this weekend!
