In addition to that, someone suggested moving the club shop somewhere else (possibly to the Seasons Bistro, although KC did say that he was considering re-opening it at some point) and opening a franchise in place of it, something along the lines of a Costa Coffee or similar. With nowhere else doing food/drinks within reasonable walking distance of the new NHS centre, this could become a decent money spinner for the club.
Sounds like a very good idea to me.

Max Griggs/Airwair International owned that land about 5-6 years ago and originally had outline planning permission for a cinema/health club/night club but sold to it to HSBC Developments to reduce their debts.
KC said at an early Fan Forums that he enquired about buying it a couple of years ago but was scared off by the asking price.

The William Griggs Settlement Trust still own the old BSC mineral records building, converted to offices, to the north of Diamond Way.

But they have sold the other smaller bit of land on the left of the road that goes up to it, for business/ leisure use (dead opposite the new NHS outpatient facility that's being built).
