You can,t just rely on putting items in your programme or website you are only preaching to the converted you have to go and knock on doors to bring in new buisness. I do know what i am on about here as i was in sales myself for 6 yrs quite successfully and the only way is seeing people face to face . Invite them down to the club etc and show them what an excellent set up we have , but you also have to see what everyone else is charging in these competitive times and compete. At the moment we have a huge comlpex that is empty more often than not , get the place tidied , get your catering right and bring people along to see for themselves
Totally agree STAGMAN.
We have a wonderful legacy from Max in our stadium and faciilities and we can be thankful that Keith and the Trust have kept the club afloat over the last few years but
it is time to move on.
Keith, when taking over, did say the way to success was to maximise our assets, our new owners are saying the same. They seem to have a bigger team to realise this and want to focus on our club as the 'hub' of their business.
Let's get the ground spruced up, sponsors and corporate back in and with JE being able to improve an already performing team, greater success on the pitch.
Must say a big thanks to Keith for saving R & D and funding us since Max's money ran out.
Hopefully we are are at the dawn of a new era in R and D's short but eventful history.
