I think this is the same Andy Shutler. A quick peek at his Facebook page shows he is friends with a George Calder, Gary's son I believe.

Interesting to note that as well as being Vice Chairman, he was also Referee Co-ordinator - we could really do with one of them!

And we definately need someone in charge of the Boot Box  ;)

Seriously though. It "sounds" like Calder and company will be using NP as their "business hub". Maybe they can do a bit more marketing to try and generate more income for the club?

For a long time the club has needed a commercial manager to go out and bring in buisness, Helen simply does not have the time for this. You can,t just rely on putting items in your programme or website you are only preaching to the converted you have to go and knock on doors to bring in new buisness. I do know what i am on about here as i was in sales myself for 6 yrs quite successfully and the only way is seeing people face to face . Invite them down to the club etc and show them what an excellent set up we have , but you also have to see what everyone else is charging in these competitive times and compete. At the moment we have a huge comlpex that is empty more often than not , get the place tidied , get your catering right and bring people along to see for themselves

Welcome aboard the mad ship RDFC gentlemen.

Thank you for your custom, we hope your stay will be a long and rewarding one, you take over the helm in excellent condition, now let out the boilers and fire up the club for promotion to the Football League.

Good luck and best wishes.

Totally agree STAGMAN.
We have a wonderful legacy from Max in our stadium and faciilities and we can be thankful that Keith and the Trust have kept the club afloat over the last few years but it is time to move on.

Keith, when taking over, did say the way to success was to maximise our assets, our new owners are saying the same. They seem to have a bigger team to realise this and want to focus on our club as the 'hub' of their business.

Let's get the ground spruced up, sponsors and corporate back in and with JE being able to improve an already performing team, greater success on the pitch.

Must say a big thanks to Keith for saving R & D and funding us since Max's money ran out.

Hopefully we are are at the dawn of a new era in R and D's short but eventful history.

This take over is being very well handled by the club it has to be said. A very large amount of information being made available and the interviews are excellent reads. Compare that to what is going on down the road where scum fans are second guessing Sadact at the moment on everything that goes on.

Liam Beasant looks like he'd still qualify to play for the youth team!
