Something doesn't add up in my simple mind. I think a forensic accountant is required.
I don't think any of us fans are in a position to judge whether the money has been spent legitimately or not, because we don't have access to the accounts and (most of us) never will.

Enthusiasm is a fine thing but the thought I keep on coming back to is that we are being asked to provide money to repay - or to recover - debts incurred by a privately owned company, the bulk of the assets of which will then afterwards remain in private ownership.
That really doesn't sound too clever to me - unless of course, you happen to be the private owner!
Ownership of the football club and the Diamond Centre are inter-dependant in that the Diamond Centre depends on the footfall created by the football club to to generate income and survive. Therefore in my view, having created or at least exacerbated the problem by leasing the club to individuals with a questionable business background with the reported resultant levels of debt, KC should take far more responsibility for resolving the debt situation created at the club he owns.

Chammie I totally agree with your comments and logic regarding KC and his position in all this.

However, he doesn't want the football club! He's in a win win situation, if the supporters pay to and actually save the club, he still owns the complex and can take 'rent' or whatever he decides to charge the 'football club' for using it.
If it all goes tits up then he is free to use the land, subject to legal's and covenants, as he see's fit.

I think he is prepared to help to a certain degree, but certainly not financially, however as I said he can't lose out of this. The only people who will lose out are the fans, as usual!

The thing is guys that whilst in an ideal world I'd like us to get back the facilities, it's not going to happen in the short term. Let's save the club, put it back into community owners by the fans (no way are we going to repeat the mistakes of the past), get it stable and eventually we can look to recover the facilities.

I sympathise with your view and to an extent agree but at the end of the day, the choice is between having a club next year or no club next year.

I sincerely hope you are correct, BR.
Highly unlikely.

Apparently we're not allowed to take pledges for season tickets according to someone on the trust board, as has just been announced on Radio Diamonds.

But if you want to make a donation of £300 to the Trust then come on down ;)
We can't provide any season tickets because we don't own the club.
But we will safe guard your donation and return it if RDFC does not have a next season.
So please come on down and Donate.
Thanks.

But I thought we had already been doing before today hadn't we?? However, I did wonder about the idea of pledging for STs seeing as though STs have nothing to do with the trust.

i've just been down to NP and given a "donation" which happens to be the same amount as a season ticket, which i will swap my donation for if the trust take over and we raise enough money!!!!

so yeah whilst not actually taking money for seasn tickets, they/we are taking money for season tickets.

I can't actually afford my season ticket in one go but, as this is a last chance saloon for the club i will find a way so everyone must buy/pledge/donate a season ticket!!
