I don't think any of us fans are in a position to judge whether the money has been spent legitimately or not, because we don't have access to the accounts and (most of us) never will.BartonRaz wrote:Trek wrote:Just think about for one minute, if the Club has genuine debts of 750k incurred in a four month period then this equates to over 2 million quid expenditure in a fiscal year and that's ignoring any income from season tickets, gate receipts, sponsorship etc.
Something doesn't add up in my simple mind. I think a forensic accountant is required.
Enthusiasm is a fine thing but the thought I keep on coming back to is that we are being asked to provide money to repay - or to recover - debts incurred by a privately owned company, the bulk of the assets of which will then afterwards remain in private ownership.
That really doesn't sound too clever to me - unless of course, you happen to be the private owner!
Ownership of the football club and the Diamond Centre are inter-dependant in that the Diamond Centre depends on the footfall created by the football club to to generate income and survive. Therefore in my view, having created or at least exacerbated the problem by leasing the club to individuals with a questionable business background with the reported resultant levels of debt, KC should take far more responsibility for resolving the debt situation created at the club he owns.
