All the Barcalona players donate 1% of the wages to charity

Unless I'm mistaken, I thought all of the England players donated their entire match fee's to charity? I'd assume that this is therefore the case with most top international teams...

I was aware of the Premiership 'donation' that why I suggested a proportion of TV money to be distributed by the FA as guardians of our national game. Without the TV money Premiership and to a lesser extent Championship clubs would never be a position to pay players wages to the level enjoyed by Rooney, Terry and his mates and I would suggest that we wouldn't have seen the injection of overseas money from North America, Eastern Europe, Middle and Far East either.

Without the continuance of TV money, the Premiership wage structure would collapse like a pack of cards.

Yeah the England team give up the match fees for different charities and i would like to think that happens with many international sides but for club sides? I have not heard of any other than Barca that take a % of wages and donate.

I agree with the thoughts but what happens when Keith cousins, the besants or imraan ladak owns your football club? The money is going to magically disappear.

why not give the trusts the money to deal out as they see fit,the chairmans will still have to do their part,could be given as an insentive ,,get their house in order and and the money will be forth coming ie get your books in order ,then next year youll get a" brucie bous" ;)
