Looks like the game is just about up for them

At least now they can make a new start and work for a phoenix team next year like we've done.

The situation at Darlo has moved on - http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/9 ... ref=twtrec

They seem to be saying that this new entity inherits all the history etc as it bought the assets from the administrator - despite the fact that the creditors aren't being paid. I'd guess the FA will have a few things to say about that, forcing them to change their name like they did with Nuneaton etc.

I see they've arranged a ground share with Shildon, a nearby northern league side for next season, meaning they'll be put in one of the evo-stik leagues next season. Its fair to say Shildon's ground is one hell of a comedown from the premiership standard arena

Quite a difference, but at least they'll probably be able to get a better atmosphere

I was flicking through their message board earlier having a quick look at the latest situation, and although their was alot of positive comments regarding the move to shildon, their was a few negative ones as well.

Its fair to say that although it aint the best looking ground, in fact not a patch on the arena, surely beggars cant be choosers. They should be grateful they are still in business.

I do wish them well though...

It looks like the FA might be unhappy with their plans to start a new club and then try to buy the old club assets from the administrator - possibly resulting in them having to start at Step 5 or 6 and change their name.
