You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.

Yes i believe he was appointed as Director of Football just before Jim Harvey left, and got a feeling he was looking after the team in the interim, but not 100% sure.

Purchased my Chester football programme collection today :)

Last FA Cup game, FA Trophy game, League game v Ebbsfleet and even the gam against Oxford that never went ahead, but the programmes had already been printed :)

Got two of each - Recommend these to be a good investment :)

I really feel for the Chester fans: it is absolutely indescribable. I supported the original Aldershot home and many away games for 25 years from 1967. The end was obviously coming, but however daft I just kept hoping that something would prevent MY club from going under. In 1992 they were finally wound up, and it felt that all the great times  were worth nothing.

Living in Chelveston at the time, when R&D were formed a new chapter began (but that's another story). Since then I have watched Aldershot Town, a club with The Phoenix as their badge, be born and eventually come of age in the Football League. I have attended a few games, despite the distance, but it just isn't the same.

My thoughts are with you, Chester fans.

Did you have to pay full price for them, or are they selling them at knockdown prices?

Full price for them. Around £3 each in the end when postage is all sorted.

Plenty of programmes from the game that never was at the club shop available as well don't forget, should be good for the collection and of course will help the club get back some of the money spent on a load of programmes that never got used.
