We have had a regular core of 13/14 players so I can see most of the fringe players moving on, if only so that they can play more often. Unless we run a reserve team.
Peter,Dev, Elliot,Quincy possibly even Ben and Lance. Not sure about Louis.

Gilsenan and Parky may not be available. It depends on their health.

Will Hopey retire?

Which of the under 18,s will be offered a chance. It depends on whether we run a reserve side.

We don't have any hold on them, except the three on contract. So its not a case of Starms issuing a retained list. But the plus side is that all players of other clubs are up for grabs! Maybe even a couple of Step 3 and 4 players.

We'll have the U21's to help the U18's bridge the gap and to give squad players a competitive game

I agree there's been a few players who have improved considerably this season under Starms but Lance is the pick of the bunch. He looked quite average when he joined but became an integral part of the squad.

Two others who I thought improved as the season went on were Alex Deakin and Jake Gillingwater.

TBH haven't seen many players that would walk into our side, with one exception the little winger for Bugbrooke, not sure his name, but I think he is the groundsman at Peterborough. Other than that not that bothered.

I'm sure Starms and Peaksey will know who that want.

I suspect we will see quite a few fringe players move on, the only worrying one is that I think Ben will go, which would be crying shame, as he hasn't had the chances that he deserves, in my opinion he is a better player than Alfie and should have been playing up front with newman,

I believe you may be pleasantly surprised regarding Ben, he loves being here and I've heard from a reliable source that he should be here next season but not just a playing role.

Funnily enough, Jamal Clarke at Evesham tweeted this:

Tongue in cheek, but still a good positive.

I don't think Hopey was a million miles away when he said after the Whitworths match that Ralph and Starms will be getting phone calls all summer

The bottom line is though, how many of those players will come to us for the money we're paying (which contrary to popular belief isn't loads). If they think gates of 600+ equates to squillions of £'s worth of wages then they'd be very much mistaken !! We want players here who want the experience of playing for a unique club like our's. There aren't many playing Step 5 football that will get treated by the fans like our players do.

The management team pulled together a squad capable of promotion this year and I have faith in them to do the same next year and I'm certainly not going to second guess who they will bring in and who will leave before our presentation evening has been and gone - lets enjoy the moment first eh?
