Andrew Tidswell would be a great signing.

Pigman wrote:The bottom line is though, how many of those players will come to us for the money we're paying (which contrary to popular belief isn't loads). If they think gates of 600+ equates to squillions of £'s worth of wages then they'd be very much mistaken !! We want players here who want the experience of playing for a unique club like our's. There aren't many playing Step 5 football that will get treated by the fans like our players do.

The management team pulled together a squad capable of promotion this year and I have faith in them to do the same next year and I'm certainly not going to second guess who they will bring in and who will leave before our presentation evening has been and gone - lets enjoy the moment first eh?
Its purely speculation at the moment.

But the fact is like has been said already in this thread, we need some strength in depth next season. I have 100% that that the management team will do what is needed.

Andy Tidswell would be top of my list and I believe he would be interested in join, to join with the other ex rdfc youth players

I also think Tom Cross should be kept for next season with Quincy as his no.2, I thought Cross was excellent on Saturday with his handling. Also should get Ash out on loan

if we can get Dent fully fit for next season as I don't think we have seen the best of him yet,

Only a couple of players we should release as think most of our current squad can only get better and play another big part

I notice there were a few changes at WTFC mentioned on Twitter after their presentation evening.

Tidwell, freshwater, winger from bugbrooke and another centre half if parky or hope are not available. Keep majority of current squad, then we have a team capable of winning prem.

As Piggers says, it`s all a bit premature, and the current squad have done enough to earn the right to play in the Prem. Inevitably, some will move on, but if you look at the squad in August, and what it is now, Starms and his boys have assessed and refined the squad accordingly, and I`m sure the same will apply next season.
Aside from Jon Stevenson, the only other player than impressed me was Eynesbury`s Paul Reynolds. Until we went wide, his leadership and reading of the game was excellent, the only downside being his lack of pace.
It`ll be interesting to see what will happen, but I`m sure Starms and his management team have got it all covered. Promotion will attract more players, but the league`s are littered with mercenaries ready to move at the drop of a tenner, so it`s important that we attract the players that buy into the club`s ethos and what we`re trying to achieve.

I agree with Pigman, let's just spend a few weeks basking in this glow of happiness. If things aren't going well then Starms will adjust like he did this season but I think these players deserve to show what they're about in the Prem.

For now, let's chiiiiiiiill! 8-) 8-)

Now for one minute, I don't expect any of our Board Members to join in with discussions about possible improvements to next season's playing squad but don't forget this an Unofficial Fans Forum and, in my opinion, it does no harm to discuss players currently playing for other clubs who we feel might strengthen our squad. That's what a close season is for.

It's barely been 48 hours, why the rush?!
