That's what a close season is for.
Well put Trek I was about to say something similar. Rob and Pigman stop stifling debate you debate stiflers. ;)

Forget debate, we should all still be drunk/getting drunk and as I say that I'm cracking open a cider and looking through my photos from Saturday. 8-)

For now, let's chiiiiiiiill! 8-) 8-)

I'm not trying to stifle anything, and I agree that the closed season is made for this kind of discussion, however,I just think this is a discussion that could hold off until we've at least celebrated this season and had the presentation evening thats all - talk of who fans think might/should leave etc is, in my opinion (and I am allowed one too), a little disrespectful to players who have given their all for us this year and delivered the prize we all yearned for........ its just about timing for me thats all. Thats my personal view !!

I wouldn't get involved in any speculation anyway Trek, what I hear stays just heard until any formal announcements.

Of course you wouldn't and nor would I if I was in an 'official' position with the club with privy information. I agree that this thread should not talk about current players who for one reason or another may not be in our squad next season.
However, the main thrust of this thread is for a discussion on which players will feel might strengthen our squad. Don't forget our fans are now more knowledgeable about the quality of players plying their trade in the UCL.

I like to look around see what players are watching towards the end of the season, I have seen Gary Mills and David Bell own there stood with the committee. :D

But if you speculate about certain positions you are indicating that you feel that the current occupants of the same position may/should be on their way - just my opinion, I'll stay off the thread now anyway.

I saw Lewis Hallford at the Whitworths game. Last I knew he was at Elgin City.

I started this thread to garner some debate, as now the season has ended we won't have much to talk about until August. It was perhaps a little premature.

This thread wasn't created to discuss which of our players should go, correct me if I'm wrong, but the players I did mention haven't been involved or have already left.

For all we know Gilsenan, Brady & O'Grady could be in the managements plans for next season.

Personally I think the squad we have, with a few reinforcements, are good enough to compete in the UCL Prem next season.

It is only a suggestion, but, rather than cast off some players and wish for others to join our squad, we could use this as a positive comments topic. The management will, no doubt, be looking at the current squad and deciding who could do a job at the next level, and possibly the one above that. we could give positive comments on each player and say what they bring to the team and this would lead to views of where we might need to improve or invest. E.g. Tom Cross came in and quickly showed composure, good kicking and a reassurance to the back four that he would be commanding. Could easily play at a higher level.

Any thoughts ?
