Unfortunately most of the decent drinking pubs are in the town over the river which is a tidy walk from the ground based in Wothorpe Road. Nearest pubs to the ground are in High Street St Martins and are The George Hotel, The Bull & Swan and The William Cecil.Dazzler wrote:Some nice pubs in Stamford.

When I went to Stamford back in May there wasn't much parking in the immediate vacinity although I don't anticipate the crowd on Wednesday will be half the size it was for the play-off final. Regardless, if you're driving save yourselves the bother and head straight to the car park at the bottom of Wothorpe Road which I believe is free after 6pm.

Stamford's OWS says you can park in the school car park next to the ground. There are a few places in the side road, first left past the ground on the way to the Council car park that BR mentioned which is indeed free after 6pm and it's a quarter of a mile walk back to the ground.

I am sure there will be a mixture of first teamers, first team fringe players and trialists as is normal for Pre season friendliessussexdiamond wrote:Any team news? Will it be worth travelling?

Well if we put out an XI side (or one mostly consisting of young, inexperienced players) it'll be a massacre. An away friendly against a side 2 divisions above us should and will be taken seriously. I think we can safely assume as many first team players as possible will be involved.sussexdiamond wrote:Any team news? Will it be worth travelling?
