Why don't the club just name any trialists in the match report, twitter feed etc? Fair enough if a game is played behind closed doors, but if a game is open to the public any secrecy seems pointless doesn't it?

The only possible explanation must be that we don't want to make others aware that the trialist is available. But I agree it does seem a bit pointless considering the names of the players are revealed on here straight after the games if not before.
