Bearing in mind that Joe is a nice and honest lad I am going to believe that he did not deliberately stamp on the player.

That said, you can see how the ref may have thought it was a stamp, particularly from his angle, so it's probably unfair to criticise his decision too much.
As I said previously if Joe said it was an accident then that's the end of it, but I was the one person in the picture behind the players from our camara angle about 5 yards away & can assure you contact was made between foot & ankle. All said & done Joe will get a ban, he will be more carefull stepping over an opponent in future & we march onto the next round, and have spent to long debating the games negative aspects.
