No rain forecast after Monday night, but a LOT of rain forecast for Monday itself which is concerning.

Hope this game goes ahead, but will ground recover in time for Saturday. I for one will not be disappointed if that is the case.

It's not looking good at the moment, water is laying on the pitch, we will have to wait 8-)

With water already on the surface, this match is surely in doubt? We've still got 12 hours of heavy persistent rain. The water table will be rising well after that, River levels further upstream are already rising steadily, we shouldn't expect a peak around Wellingborough until well into tomorrow afternoon and then things will begin to improve.

Maybe - but I remember that was the case before the Bourne game last April, when many thought there was no chance it would go ahead, on the Thursday before the game, but with a drying day and the efforts of the guys who look after the pitch it went ahead.

There are three games scheduled in eight days, we could play one and lose two

Think the crunch bit is "efforts of the guys" as Boxing Day is a Welly home game our normal small army that would be there on morning of game will be replaced by Paul, unless we are asked to help them, do we want to bust a gut to ensure our lads get to play 5 games in 15 days??. On a selfish note, for our Club it`s probably best if the Boxing Day game goes and we get our 2 home one`s on 28th & 1st played if anything is going to be lost. Still got free Saturdays later in season so Welly away would not have to be moved to midweek.

Ironically, after doing so well during the spell when we had to play two games every week, last Saturday was the first time we'd only played two games in a fortnight all season....

We do indeed have several free Saturdays - but with the Doughboys still being in the UCL KO Cup I'm sure there is scope for the UCL to find a nice cosy Tuesday evening for any rearranged game. At least neither team plays a reserve team which might give the UCL scope to do what they did with our Chenecks game last season.
