Spalding beat Deeping quite comfortably in the end, on the one hand it means we're joint 2nd now, but on the other, it was one of those games where we would have certainly hoped Spalding to have dropped points to give us a slight hope of getting near to them, but I fear the title now is only going one way as Spalding haven't had that drop in form after the 14th that we hoped they might have.

It was a great day at the D&D, the crowd made the chill in the air, unnoticable, the game was just what we all wanted on a Bank Holiday and we get 3 more points. The team played well enough in the 1st half and very well in the 2nd half, fully deserving the win. Parky was top dog and it was good to see Harris in the middle, rather than King. Team selection was crucial and it made our day when Alfie popped in the 4th goal.
With reference to the Spalding result, we followed up our victory over them with a dismal loss at Boston, they followed up their loss with a victory... no points gained.

Anyway, happy with the result, see you all again in 2 days time, weather permitting

like it's been said already, thought welly were unlucky not to go in at half time level. they played well in the first half. second half we came out with out tails up and they couldn't deal with us. thought mcbride played real well.

Attendance now confirmed as 851 which was the figure that I was told near the end of the match.

Loved being at the game today - my first since Dover away! The better team won. Dunkley is invaluable. We're heavily relying on Spalding massively slipping up this season to have any chance, but it would be good to stamp our authority on the rest of the league by finishing 2nd ready for next season!

That was fun, great goal by Parky! Alfie was at least a yard offside when he received the ball in the build-up to the 3rd goal! Lots of Christmas cheer and I think 851 will be beaten on NYD, although IMO it didn't seem like that many.

I thought we were great value for the win overall and enjoyed both the performance and the resulting what was a very sticky pitch.

Just hope we can win our next two home games and keep the pressure on those around us.

Great way to respond to the boston defeat - well done lads!!

I think over 1000 is possible NYD - can't wait !
