He was there watching the game, just not involved on the playing front, had a quick chat with him and he appeared in good spirits, he was with our Chairman most of the evening so I can only assume he is either good at laying concrete, can refurbish toilets or has a big van to collect some new seats in. :lol: :lol:

Starms picked the squad the night before the game, and at that point we didn't know if Dev's transfer would go through in time ready for him to play on the Tuesday evening. Louis Smith had been given a place in the squad as a reward for his excellent form for the U21's, and it would have been unfair on him to then replace him with Dev when the transfer did go through on time. Dev was perfectly understanding about this, and while I'm sure he would have loved to have been involved, was mature enough and selfless enough to see the bigger picture and respect Starms' decision.
