Re: Zamaretto Prem for Diamonds?

Dont believe Chris Hope has a club for next season yet, and is still local.

Re: What is the current state of play?

I reckon that Kett will end up playing at Corby Town's new ground

Fans of both R&D and Kett have said a resounding no to a merger - or ground share
Diamonds have no players - and no money
Kett have no manager - and no money
Corby have no money but a new ground

so the fit with Corby looks better ...

Re: IS THE YOUTH ABOUT TO END?

Yesterday was a very sad day for us. Our son has been coached by R&DFC since he was 6 years old. Through the reigns of Geoff Harrop, Greg Broughton, Paul Driver and latterly Mark Starmer. He is now 16. All he has wanted to do was be a pro football player. He knew that it would be difficult. He has ...

Re: Merge with KTFC to guarantee BSP football next season?

Because the St Neots nice new stadium could take it, and yes Kings Lynn always take a fair few away , and both of those will be moving up anyway,- but this is not the regular UCL scene, Believe the clubs like Irchester, Raunds and Thrapston dont normally get into treble figures.

Re: Merge with KTFC to guarantee BSP football next season?

Get your point, but be interesting to hear what others think.
Havent seen a UCL Game recently that has attracted more than 100 people - ex players and staff.

You would lose a few supporters cumulatively no doubt, but would gain from disenchanted Claret supporters that would come across, and for ...

Re: Merge with KTFC to guarantee BSP football next season?

As well as a proposed merger with Kett, what is the option with Corby Town for anyone - same position, nice new stadium, released most of the non contract players once safe, and seem to be in a bit of financial strife.

3 clubs in small area all with the same problem - not enough paying fans ...

Don't forget that Corby Town also appear to have a club / stadium / league that they cant afford to run

Re: Youth Teams

You would have thought that the £400 or so that each of the Parents paid for their childs training / match fees per annum would enable the C of E self funding.

I hope this doesn't include U16 lads that have agreed to sign on for the club at the sports performance course at Raunds Manor next year ...
